Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church for Mrs. Alene Goff, 59, of Picayune, who passed away Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Singing River Hospital.

The Rev. Van Bolden will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Picayune Cemetery under the direction of Baylous Funeral Home.

A native of Picayune, Mrs. Goff was a Home Health Nurse and was a veteran bus driver of 11 years for the Picayune School District. She was a member of Shad of Ebony Nursing Corps.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Ray A. Goff; mother and father, Howard and Lillie Mae Bridges; and one brother, Freddie Stockstill.

Survivors include: three daughters, Deirdre (Jerome) Johnson, of Pascagoula, Miss., Sharon Goff of Picayune, and Angela Goff of Gulfport; four grandchildren, Jamal Johnson and Jeremey Johnson of Pascagoula, Raychel Alene Goff, and Triston Struckey of Gulfport; three brothers, Wilbur Bridges, Leon Bridges, Jerone Jackson, all of Picayune; five sisters, Margaret Charles of Ohio, Delores Judge of New Orleans, La., Flora Gaston of Picayune, Getta Dean Bridges of Ohio, and Gloria Bridges of Picayune.

There will be no visitation.
