An Alabama man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of 28-year-old Steven Fairly of Vancleave.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd says 29-year-old Casey Dwayne Hall of Grand Bay, Ala., is accused of killing Fairly on Saturday following a dispute over a woman they were both dating. Byrd said the shooting occurred at a home in the Helena community.

Byrd said Fairly arrived at the north Jackson County house, walked into a bedroom and found Regina Vice-Hall with Hall, who is her ex-husband. Byrd said Hall shot Fairly more than once with a semi-automatic pistol.

Fairly was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hall is currently being held in jail, pending an initial court appearance.
