Virginia is recalling oysters harvested in a section of Mississippi’s coastal waters that were linked to a norovirus infection among patrons at a Tennessee restaurant.

The Virginia Department of Health issued the recall over the weekend. The agency said the oysters should be removed from most markets in Virginia by early this week.

No illnesses have been reported in Virginia. The agency said the recall was a precautionary step.
