Poplarville’s 1-0 win over Long Beach was upheld by the MHSAA Friday morning, meaning the Lady Hornets, LBHS and D’Iberville are all now tied for first place in Division 8-4A.

The game was suspended Thursday night due to rain.

In other weather related updates as of Friday afternoon, Picayune’s big Division 8-4A baseball game on the road at St. Stanislaus was moved to 5 p.m., Friday, while Pearl River Central’s Division 8-4A softball game with D’Iberville was cancelled and will be played Wednesday.

Also, Poplarville’s Lady Hornets, ranked second in the state, will host Bay High in one Division 8-4A game on Saturday and will not play Long Beach again until Monday.

And, Picayune’s baseball doubleheader with Harrison Central has been moved back Saturday until 1 p.m.
