Lincoln supervisors opt for bridge clo

Five Lincoln County bridges have been closed and weight limits have been reduced on some others after several spans scored poorly on recent safety inspections in February.
Plans for repair or replacement of the weak spans are under way.
Supervisors sat most of the bridges were small and supported by wooden pilings with relatively small weight limits of 6,000 pounds. They also were mostly located on small, relatively little-traveled roads.
The county has 300 bridges, and 45 were inspected during February by the Office of State Aid Road Construction.
