Both Picayune and Pearl River Central dropped Division 8-4A games at home on Tuesday night.

The Lady Tide fell 4-0 to unbeaten D’Iberville, as Kimmi Wagner pitched yet another shutout for the Lady Warriors.

Picayune fell to 7-7 overall and is 0-2 in league play, falling also to unbeaten Long Beach.

Tiffany Devore had two of the four hits Picayune managed off of Wagner, as she also struck out 16 Lady Tide batters.

Jessie Frierson took the loss for Picayune.

The Lady Tide hosts Bay High Thursday and Poplarville Friday in league action.

PRC softball

CARRIERE — Pearl River Central fell 6-5 to visiting Bay High in eight innings Tuesday night.

The loss drops PRC to 0-2 in league play and 3-6 overall. PRC was coming off a 10-0 win over Perry Central.

Becky Mitchell had two hits for the Lady Devils Tuesday night, and Katie Nilsson had a triple.

Mitchell took the loss for PRC, which travels to Long Beach Thursday and then hosts Di’Iberville Saturday in league play.
