Jared Bales went the distance on the mound to pick up the win, as he scattered six hits and struck out five while walking just one in the winning effort. The Tide broke open a 1-1 tie with a decisive four run spot in the sixth inning, as Hunter Gill and Evan Nichelson had RBI-singles and two runs scored on a Warrior throwing error when Braxton Lee put the ball in play. Gill also had an RBI in the fourth inning when he sacrificed home Jonathan Hickman.

While D’Iberville had four errors in the game, the Maroon Tide was pretty solid in the field especially Nichelson who made several key plays at first base.

Long Beach leads the loop at 8-0, while Picayune and St. Stanislaus are tied for second at 6-0. The Rockachaws come calling to Picayune on Tuesday. After two games against SSC, Picayune then faces Long Beach in a pair of games next week. D’Iberville holds down the fourth and final playoff spot with a 2-4 league mark.
