Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at White Funeral Home in Poplarville for Mrs. Dorothy R. Chadwick-Archer, 88, of Poplarville, Mississippi who passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 at her residence. Brother Fred Smith and Brother Steve Smith will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Lee Cemetery, No. 1.

A native of Pearl River County of Mississippi, she was born September 9, 1920 to George W. Rester, Sr., and Idell Tyner Rester. She was a retired Supervisor with Movie Star, Inc. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, John Alvin Chadwick; her second husband, Edward L. Archer; and two brothers, George W. Rester, Jr., and Emmett Rester.

Survivors include: her daughter, Genevieve Breland of McLain, Miss.; two sons, Garland Chadwick, and his wife Judy, of Carriere; and Gayden Chadwick of Poplarville; one sister, Vivian Smith, and her husband Guy, of Lumberton; eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 29, 2009 from 5-9 p.m. at White Funeral Home in Poplarville.
