Two separate cases worked by Picayune Police investigators involved two types of a single drug.

One of those cases was a product of a undercover officer’s overhearing the suspect talking about a drug deal on a cell phone while the second began as part of an anonymous tip, according to press releases from the department.

Both cases occured over the weekend in the parking lot of Winn-Dixie North. One suspect was listed as Irvin Richardson Jr. 21, of 2209 McGehee Lane and the other is Karen Stewart, 43, of 817 Cayten St. Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute within 1,500 feet of a school or chruch. Stewart was additionally charged with possesion of marijuana.
