Breaking News – 75-year-old man dies in motorcycle crash
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says a 75-year-old Carriere man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on state Highway 27 in Utica.
Highway Patrol spokesman Sgt. James Walker said the wreck was reported about 2 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Mississippi Highway 27 and Cook Road. Walker says Ronald Zamsky was traveling north on the highway on a motorcycle when he collided head-on with a van.
Zamsky was pronounced dead at the scene.
Walker said the van’s driver, 61-year-old Sherry Smith of Hot Springs, Ark., was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators have not determined why Zamsky may have crossed into oncoming traffic.
