An accident in the north bound lanes of Interstate 59 just after the 19 mile marker held traffic up for a couple of hours as emergency personnel cared for the injured. Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said the passenger, 19 year-old Keily Flores of Mesquite, Texas, died from massive head trauma after being airlifted to Forrest General Hospital. The vehicle was reported by on-scene emergency personnel to have flipped several times. Turnage said Flores was ejected during the accident and was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver, Jessica L. Johnson, 19, of Stockton, Calif., was transported to Forrest General Hospital, MHP Cpl. Johnny Poulos said.
