Funeral services will be held Monday, February 16, 2009, at 2 p.m. in McDonald Funeral Home Chapel for Robert Ernest Puyper, 80, of Carriere, Miss., who passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 in Carriere.

Burial will be in Penton Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

Brother Danny Roy Johnson will officiate at the service.

A native of Picayune he was a Postman and retired as a M/Sgt. from the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents: R. E. Puyper and Regina Cressionie Puyper; his wife of 18 years, Alene Puyper; four sisters: Kathleen P. Spiers, Louise P. Smith, Lena Mae Krenkel, Marie P. Miller; and two brothers: Charles Puyper, and Ben Puyper.

Survivors include: close friend, Jean C. Rapp of Carriere; six daughters, Nancy (David) Yauch of Culpepper, Va., Rhonda (Scott) Dickson of Nevada City, Calif.; Marcia (Roy) L. Garrison of Sacramento, Calif., Gail (Dennis W.) Dedeaux of Poplarville, Rita (Ron) Davis of Poplarville, Maragarette (Mike) Woodard of Opelika, Ala.; two sons, Dennis E. (Trina) Penton of Carriere, and Ken (Carol) Anderson of Raymond, Miss; 17 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and one sister, Rosalie Crowell of Picayune.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2009, from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
