Information about possible drug activity led to the arrest of a Pearl River County man for manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of precursor chemicals.
The suspect was identified as 39 year-old Kenneth Ladner of 137 Lloyd Ladner Rd., said Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Donnie Saucier.
Deputies and investigators worked on the information provided them that Ladner had been cooking methamphetamine at the home. Precursor chemicals and evidence of previous methamphetamine cooks were found at the home during a search, Saucier said.
Consent to search the home was secured from one of the other residents of the home since Lander was not home at the time, Saucier said. During that search is when investigators found the evidence of old cooks and precursor chemicals.
A search warrant was obtained based on the gathered evidence and several more items were found in Ladner’s room, including a small amount of methamphetamine and some smoking paraphernalia, Saucier said.
A warrant was issued for Ladner’s arrest and he was picked up two days later for possession of precursor chemicals and manufacture of methamphetamine, Saucier said.
