U.S. Rep. John Lewis of Georgia will appear at a Jackson State University conference on social activism.

The March 19-21 conference will be held at Jackson State University’s Mississippi e-Center in Jackson.

Organizers say the conference is designed to encourage youth to continue the civil rights movement’s tradition of bringing positive change in society.
