The head of the U.S. Episcopal Church is making a visit to Mississippi.

The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, will visit the Mississippi Delta on Saturday.

Jefferts Schori, who became head of the church in 2006, will attend a reception in Carrollton followed by a luncheon at Greenwood Country club and a community forum at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nativity in Greenwood.
