The Lumberton Board of Aldermen plan to hear from the public sometime in the next 30 days on a proposed town-wide curfew for minors.

No formal date has been set for the hearing.

The board is considering a curfew that would make it illegal for minors 17 years and younger to be out between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. from Monday through Thursday. On weekend nights, the curfew would apply from midnight to 6 a.m.
