A Lucedale man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to a fatal shooting in Lucedale in 2007.

George County Circuit Judge Kathy Jackson sentenced Ricky Lee Havard to 15 years in prison and five years of suspended release after Havard pleaded guilty this week to manslaughter in the death of Dustin Wayne Davis.

Havard was scheduled for trial in February.

Prosecutors say the shooting was the result of an argument between the two men.
