Groundbreaking for a medical service center near Singing River Hospital has been delayed to February.
Hospital officials say the building will house outpatient physical therapy and imaging, a neurosciences center and a wellness center. They say both the size and cost of the project have increased.
Initially, half of the building was to be used as rentable medical office space, but now the entire complex will be used by Singing River Hospital.
Officials say the groundbreaking was delayed a month to allow for more planning on the project.
Construction on the project should take a year to 15 months.
