Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace says the death of a 50-year-old man is being investigated as a homicide.

Pace says the death of Shawn Paul Sponholz of Vicksburg was ruled a homicide after an autopsy.

Sponholz’s body was found Friday by his landlord at a small cabin Sponholz rented. Pace says Sponholz was stabbed multiple times in the neck and died at a Vicksburg hospital.

County Coroner Doug Huskey says toxicology test results will be available in about a week.
