A drive-by shooting took place Friday on Merrydale Drive.
No one was hurt, but two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
The alleged shooting took place at 1110 Merrydale Drive at about 11:27 p.m.. Two suspects, 19 year-old Rumeal Foster of 2301 Morris St., and 18 year-old Malcom Nixon of 304 Jarrell St., have been charged with three counts each of drive-by shooting.
Picayune Police Public Information Officer Theresa Milar said the two suspects allegedly shot at three juveniles, one male and two females. Less than two hours later officers had Nixon and Foster in custody, apprehending them both in a vehicle on Kingsway Drive.
Seven spent casings were recovered from the scene of the shooting and a .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol was recovered from the vehicle Foster and Nixon were in, Milar said.
Milar said the shooting possibly arose from a previous altercation between the suspects and the victims, but the cause of the shooting is still under investigation.
Bond for Foster was set at $90,000 and bond for Nixon was set at $30,000. Milar said she did not have information pertaining to why bond for Foster was higher than it was for Nixon.
