Caddo ‘K-9’ finds another drug stash on bus
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office “K-9” has sniffed out his second large stash of marijuana in as many weeks. In each case, the contraband was on a bus headed from Dallas, to Jackson, Miss.
The sheriff’s office says the dog known as “Diesel” and his handler, Cpl. Jamie McLamb, were conducting routine checks at the Greyhound bus station in Shreveport on Wednesday. Diesel’s behavior alerted authorities to a bag in the luggage compartment of a bus.
Deputies located the owner of the bag, which contained almost 23 pounds of marijuana.
Walter Bell, 39, of West, Miss., was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
