USM gets grant for campus emergency planning

The police chief for Northern Illinois University will be at the University of Southern Mississippi on Tuesday to discuss campus safety.

Northern Illinois University was the site of a shooting rampage in February that killed five people.

The university’s campus police chief, Donald Grady, will be a guest speaker at USM when it announces a grant for campus emergency planning.
