PRC Splits with DHS

CARRIERE — Pearl River Central split a pair of Division 8-4A prep basketball games on Tuesday night with visiting D’Iberville.

The Blue Devils won 57-55, on a pair of free throws by Je’Barr Locure with 13 seconds to play. PRC moves to 5-6 overall, and 2-1 in league play. Josh Nixon paced PRC with 22 points while Locure added 11.

The Lady Devils fell to D’Iberville 54-51, dropping to 0-3 in league play and 3-8 overall.

Kayla Drummond tallied a game high 30 for PRC while Shaneka Fowler added 15.

Both PRC teams travel to Fort Payne, Ala., on Thursday for a three day tourney.
