A Jackson County couple have been arrested on charges of growing 90 marijuana plants in a concealed addition to their doublewide mobile home.
Authorities say Jeremy Todd Smith and his wife, Michell Ann Mascaro, both 32, were at their home when officers served a search warrant last week.
Inside, authorities say, agents discovered the full-grown plants in a room that the couple had added on that had restricted access through a door hidden behind a closet.
Smith and Mascaro were arrested and charged with one count each of cultivation of marijuana. They were taken to the Jackson County jail where they are being held pending a bond hearing.
Smith and Mascaro face up to 30 years in prison and up to $1 million in fines.
