An accident in Hide-A-Way Lake involving a diesel-powered club car took the life of one woman.

The accident occurred Sunday night at about 11:22 when 55 year-old Susan Cooper came to the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and Craigmont Street, said Chief Deputy Shane Tucker.

Cooper was driving a diesel-powered, four-by-four club car when she came to that intersection. She apparently came into the intersection too fast, left the road and hit a tree.

She died as a result of her injuries. No one else was in the cart or involved in the accident. The involvement of drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be factors in this accident, Tucker said.
