A 20-year-old Mississippi man charged with making an Internet threat through MySpace to assassinate President Bush is set to stand trial on Nov. 17.

Neal Allan Thomas, 20, of Olive Branch, was arrested by the Secret Service on Sept. 4 for allegedly using another person’s MySpace account without permission and posting messages threatening to blow up a fire station and assassinate the president, according to an affidavit.

Paul Roberts, a federal prosecutor, says Thomas entered an innocent plea during his arraignment Friday in U.S. District Court in Oxford.
