Three individuals have been found dead over the weekend and early week in three separate incidents.
On Friday afternoon, 62 year-old Wayne Williams left to go hunting in a wooded area near his Nicholson home, said Chief Deputy Shane Tucker of the Pearl River County sheriff’s Dept.
When Williams failed to come home, his family contacted the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department at about 7:30 that night. Department personnel responded and conducted a search of the surrounding area. Williams was found dead in the woods.
Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage said Williams’ death has been ruled as due to natural causes.
Another individual was found dead in her home on Cliff Mitchell Road early Tuesday morning, Tucker said. The woman was identified as Debra Furr, 52. Tucker said no foul play was suspected in the woman’s death, but her cause of death is still under investigation.
The third person found dead over the past weekend was Charles Scott Hagstrom Jr., 48 of Picayune. He was found in the office of the storage units he owned located on 701 U.S. 11 N. on Saturday at about 9:42 p.m. by family members, Turnage said.
Hagstrom’s cause of death also is still under investigation, Turnage said.
