As many as four female juveniles may have been sexually abused by a man who now sits in jail without bond.

Pearl River County Sheriff’s Department Chief Investigator Donnie Saucier said a local school district notified the department that a student claimed to have been sexually molested. Investigator Rhonda Poche investigated the claim by the 16 year-old female and found that two other females, 12 and 8 years-old, also claimed to have been molested by the same man, Walter Floyd Lucas Sr., 65, of 167 Elouise St.

Poche’s investigation found that all three girls had apparently been molested by Lucas since the age of 4, Saucier said. All three girls are related to Lucas.

Currently, Lucas is charged with one count of rape with intent to ravage and two counts of sexual battery of a child under the age of 14, Saucier said.

The investigation is looking into another claim of a girl unrelated to Lucas who also reported to have been molested by Lucas.

“We believe there is a fourth victim and an additional charge of sexual battery is imminent,” Saucier said.

Judge Nell Cowart presided over Lucas’ preliminary hearing and allowed him no bond, Saucier said. If convicted of the charges currently against Lucas could have him facing three life sentences.
