BILOXI — The Picayune Lady Tide fell to Gulfport 64-49 Thursday afternoon in the final day of the Biloxi Tournament.
Picayune fell to 0-3 with the loss.
“We knew coming down here we were going to play three teams that were bigger, stronger and faster than we were,” Picayune head coach Kristie Mitchell said. “You have to play teams that are better than you in order for you to get better.”
Monique Brown paced the Lady Tide in scoring for the third straight game with 15 points, while Arianna McGill added 12, Karly Moran 8 and Janea Wills 7.
Brown had 40 in a loss to Ocean Springs Tuesday, while Wills added 12 and McGill 11.
Thursday’s game marked the second straight game McGill came off the bench to score in double figures for the Lady Tide.
Picayune missed 20 free throws in the game, while Gulfport was 14-of-21 from the charity stripe.
Picayune’s games against Lumberton slated for this weekend have been canceled.
