Graveside services were held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2 p.m. at New Palestine Cemetery for Jackie Fontenot, 84, of Baton Rouge, La., who passed away Thursday, November 20, 2008 in Baton Rouge.

Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.

The Rev. R.T. Buckley will officiate at the service.

A native of Picayune, she was a Homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Oscar Adcox; and her mother, Ethel Ashe.

Survivors include: her son, Mike Fontenot of Powell, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.
