Graveside services will be held Sunday, November 23, 2008 at 1 p.m. in Sycamore Cemetery for Iva Lea Hamby, 85, of Picayune, who passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Burial will be in Sycamore Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.
The Rev. Bud Putnam will officiate the service.
A native of Mill Creek, Miss., she was a Homemaker, Kennel Owner and Dog Groomer. She and her late husband Grandeville owned and operated the Texaco service station on Hwy 11 South for many years. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her father, Eddie Landry; mother, Rosie Burge; sister, Hattie Mae Ammacker; brother, A.D. Landry; brother, Sanford (Bud) Landry; brother, Edgar (Jim) Landry; and husband, Grandeville E. Hamby.
Survivors include: son, Lonnie L. Wilson of Picayune; daughter, Reba J. Strand of Poplarville; daughter, Georgia Ann Martin of Maryland; brother, E.J. Landry of Picayune; brother, Doug Landry of Picayune; brother, Grandy Landry of Picayune; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home.
