Fourth death in Miss. from West Nile

The state Department of Health is reporting a fourth death from the West Nile virus.
Health officials said Monday that a Panola County resident died of the virus. It was the fourth death in Mississippi this year. The other deaths occurred in Hinds, Forrest and Leflore counties.
The total number of West Nile cases stands at 100.
The state Board of Animal Health reported two cases of West Nile virus in horses in Rankin and Scott counties and one case of Eastern Equine Encephalitis in a horse in Jones County.
