Bust takes down two households

An undercover operation by the Picayune Police Department lead to the arrest of three suspects in two households.

The investigation was conducted on Oct. 24, just before midnight with an undercover buy. That buy took place using undercover investigators at 603 Nixon St., where Judy Harper lives. A search warrant was secured for 704 S. Curran Apt. 126, where Sylvester McDonald and his wife Tracye McDonald live.

After the purchase, a search warrant was secured and served at the South Curran address where the purchase money for the undercover buy from the home on Nixon Street was recovered, Detective Mike Odom said.

In the McDonalds’ home, investigators found ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana. Sylvester McDonald, 32, was charged with felony sale of a controlled substance, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Tracye McDonald, 37, was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

Harper, 45, was charged with possession of paraphernalia as a result of the investigation, Odom said.
