The body a 34-year-old Hattiesburg man has been sent to the state crime lab in Jackson for an autopsy.

Authorities say Ray Spillman was found dead inside a parked car near an intersection in Hattiesburg. Spillman appeared to have suffered a single gunshot wound to the head and a handgun was discovered at the scene.

Officials say 33-year-old Roy Page has been charged with one count of murder. Page was arrested near the scene of the shooting. Authorities also say Page and Spillman knew each other, but declined to offer a motive for the shooting.
