Seven people have been arrested in a weekend slaying in Lawrence County.
Authorities say Leon Hayes, Jason Davis and Bryan Cauthen were each charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault. They were being held without bond in the county jail.
Four others were each charged with accessory after the fact and were being held on $250,000 bond each.
Authorities say 25-year-old Richard Bernard Barnes was killed Saturday when he and three friends went to fight with another group and found themselves facing high-powered weapons.
Three other people in Barnes’ group were wounded. One remained hospitalized Wednesday. His condition was not known.
Deputies say none of the four in Barnes’ group were armed.
