Two inmates who escaped from a jail in Harrison County are back in custody after being captured in New Orleans.

Adam Steven Keith and Adam Maurice Ross were caught around 9:30 p.m. Thursday by Mississippi Department of Corrections investigators, New Orleans police and the U.S. Marshals Service.

Keith was serving 10 years for uttering forgery and fleeing law enforcement in Forrest and Lamar counties. Ross was serving a nine-year sentence for trafficking cocaine in Adams County.

Both inmates could now face an additional five years for escape.
