“We just want it to be informative, fun and raise money for a good cause,” said Director of OR services at Highland Community Hospital.

Booths with information will include topics covering lead poisoning, back safety, asthma, monography, bone density, child safety and illness prevention, swimming and aquatic exercise. Mastectomy products will be available for people to conduct self exams, Green said.

Several games are scheduled for the children at 25 cents a piece. Face painting, a silent auction and a costume contest are other activities scheduled for the event.

All funds raised at the event will go to the Pink Heart Fund to fund prosthetics and wigs for cancer patients. Two or three stylists have volunteered their time to help people willing to donate their hair to the pony tail club. That hair will be used by the Pink Heart Fund to make wigs for cancer patients who need them, Green said.
