An Oklahoma company says its expansion of a natural gas pipeline says will affect some homeowners in Mississippi and Alabama.
Tulsa, Okla.-based The Williams Cos. plans to connect the liquefied natural gas import terminal under construction in Pascagoula to a main line in Mobile County, Ala.
The pipeline expansion would affect about 125 landowners in Jackson and Mobile counties. Its current path would require a 75-foot easement during construction and about a 50-foot wide permanent right of way.
About 4.45 miles of the 26-inch pipeline would be added in Mobile County and about 10.85 miles in Jackson County.
The Williams Cos. held a hearing on the project Tuesday in Pascagoula.
