Nissan trimming vehicle production

Nissan North America will trim output at its Mississippi and Tennessee vehicle-assembly plants through the rest of the month.
That’s a reaction to a sharp drop in vehicles sales nationally.
Nissan plans to cut Friday production on Canton’s Altima sedan line for the rest of the month. The Smyrna, Tenn. plant which produces the Maxima, Altima sedan, hybrid and coupe will also lose Friday production.
The company says the volume reduction is temporary.
