The U.S. Forest Service will publish maps in March 2009 to help motorists navigate Mississippi’s natural forests.

The new maps will show roads and trails authorized for motor vehicle use in the natural forests.

In March, unregulated cross-country travel — travel off a designated road or trail — will be eliminated except for game retrieval within most parts of Wildlife Management Areas during legal hunting season for white-tailed deer.
