Five more drug suspects rounded up

Five of the remaining seven suspects wanted for allegedly selling drugs have been arrested.

The initial drug round-up took place during the early morning hours of Sept. 18, and snared about half of the 30 suspects for whom the department had warrants on the first day. Most of the remaining suspects were picked up in the days following the bust. While five of those suspects have recently been picked up, two more are still at large.

The five suspects recently arrested are Lori Suzanne Morgan, 45, of 381 George Wise Rd., Carriere; Wilbur L. Manning, 28, 367 Mt. Carmel Rd.; Rusty Bennett, 20, of 19 West Union Rd., Carriere; Senica Nixon, 23, of 307 Rosa St. and Steven Knowles, 26, of 46 Panther Circle.

Morgan was picked up on a felony possession of a controlled substance warrant and Manning, Bennett and Knowles were each picked up for sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a church or school as a result of the investigation that led to the September action.

Nixon turned himself in on a warrant for two counts of conspiracy to sell a controlled substance.

Two more suspects are still at large.

Brennan Mark Necaise, 22, of 18121 Fenton Dedeaux Rd., is wanted for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance and introduction of a controlled substance into a correctional facility. Dennis Morris, 40, 212 S. Steele Ave., is wanted for conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
