Alcorn State University will hold an inauguration ceremony next week for George Ross, the school’s 17th president.
Ross took control of the historically black college in January, more than a year after President Clinton Bristow Jr. died while jogging on campus.
The inauguration ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Davey L. Whitney Complex on campus.
Alcorn will continue celebrations from this weekend’s Homecoming with a week of inauguration events leading up to the president’s ceremony.
