A Hattiesburg woman has been charged with murder in a shooting at an apartment complex.

Police say 20-year-old Aquela Evans was arrested in the shooting death of 29-year-old Julio Rodriguez at Southern Village Apartments on Monday.

Police spokesman Synarus Green says Rodriguez apparently died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Green says it was not clear whether Rodriguez lived in the apartment where he was found shot.

Evans was being held Tuesday without bond in the Forrest County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
