Warriors pound PRC

CARRIERE — Visiting D’Iberville opened Region 8-4A action with a 41-0 shutout win over Pearl River Central Friday night.

The Warriors stayed unbeaten with the win, moving to 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league play.

The Blue Devils fell to 0-4 overall, and 0-1 in league play and have lost 12 straight games.

Tailback Mark Seymour ran for 100 yards and scored two touchdowns for the Warriors.

Quarterback Jake Miller completed 6-of-8 passes for 168 yards and two scores.

Jacoby Bell caught a 50-yard scoring pass while Kevin Norwood added a 32-yard scoring strike from Miller.

Jake Ladner closed out the Warriors scoring on an eight-yard run.

Norwood also added three interceptions to the winning cause.

PRC head coach Jeremy Weir said his team fought the whole game and that the Warriors were an outstanding team.

PRC travels to arch-rival Picayune Friday.
