PRCC moves to 4-0

Pearl River Community College moved to 4-0 with a 37-10 win over homestanding Hinds Community College on Thursday night.

The seventh ranked Wildcats were primed to host Gulf Coast next week in a match-up of undefeated and nationally ranked teams, but a pair of former PRCC assistant coaches crashed that party in perkinston on Thursday night while th Wildcats were holding up their end of the proposition.

Visiting East Mississippi snapped the longest juco winning streak in the nation, scoring a touchdown with 30 seconds to play and knocking off second ranked and defending national champion Gulf Coast 27-23.

The head coach of East Mississippi is former PRCC offensive line coach Buddy Stephens and ex-Wildcat assistant William Jones is the defensive coordinator.

The Wildcats host Perk at 7 p.m., Thursday.

PRCC jumped out to a 21-7 halftime lead over Hinds Thursday night, thanks to three touchdown passes from freshman quarterback Emil Jones.

Jones hit Rashod Henry on a 60-yard scoring strike, Ray Chisolm on a 1-yard touchdown toss and Desmond Ratliff on a 36-yard strike to put the Wildcats in control.
