Hinds Community College Rankin is expanding its Pearl campus, adding a new 75,000-square-foot multipurpose facility to serve students and the public.

Hinds President Clyde Muse says the center will house a conference center and classrooms. The public will be able to book the facility for events such as high school graduations, chamber of commerce dinners and business trade shows.

The center will be located on 60 acres received by the college in 2007.
