Continued efforts to round up the remaining 15 suspects left over from last week’s Picayune Police Department drug round up have resulted in the apprehension of eight of them.

The two suspects believed to have made a run for Harahan, La. were captured after the department received an anonymous tip. Stephanie Travis, 29, and 28 year-old Raymond Cooper, both of 1218 Manning St., were brought back to Picayune to face four counts of sale of a controlled substance.

Both suspects were alleged to have sold marijuana and prescription medication to school children between the ages of 12 and 15. They were captured at a Harahan theater by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department Saturday, according to a press release from the Picayune Police Department.

Picayune Police Chief Investigator Capt. Holly Krantz said the suspects were known by the informant to be on the way to the theater to see a movie when they were taken into custody. Sycamore Rd., charged with sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance; Terry Phillips, 41, of 13086 George St., charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church; Steven Mistretta, 21, of 194 Dumas Bailey Rd., charged with sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church; Luke Frierson, 24, 161 Frierson Rd., charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church; Angel Manning, 22, of 367 Mount Carmel Rd., Carriere, charged with sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church, and Keith Myers, 32, of 708 Taylor St., charged with three counts of sale of a controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a school or church.
