A Columbus teenager has been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of a man outside a local apartment.

Police say 18-year-old Leemajor Wilder Junior was being held in the Lowndes County jail pending an initial court appearance scheduled for Monday.

Police say 29-year-old Cornelius Cunningham died Wednesday in the Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle emergency room from a gunshot wound in the head.

Police say Wilder was arrested without incident Thursday.
