All schools in the Picayune Municipal Separate School District will be open Wednesday and according to School Superintendent Dennis Penton, all schools in the Pearl River Central School District will be open and buses will run as usual.

Picayune Superintendent Dean Shaw on Tuesday morning reported in a fax to the Picayune Item that all Picayune schools will be open on Wednesday. Shaw said in the fax that any announcements concerning other nearby districts will not affect Picayune schools, that all Picayune schools will be open for students and teachers on Wednesday.

According to the Pearl River Community College web site their Poplarville Campus classes will resume Thursday, Sept. 4. PRCC Hancock Center classes will resume Monday September 8. Residence halls will open at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3rd. All PRCC employees should report for work on Wednesday, September 3rd. Please contact your supervisor if you are unable to report to work.
