A storm that passed through the southern half of Pearl River County did some damage, blowing trees down on houses and cars.
There were reports that there may have been a tornado involved in the storm, but Pearl River County Emergency Management Director Danny Manley said the National Weather Service did not report circular wind movement.
No one reported seeing a tornado touch down either, Manley said.
The National Weather Service did report straight line winds and hail in the storm. Trees were reported to have been blown down on houses and some cars. Power lines also were affected. No major damage, fatalities or injuries were reported to Manley’s office, he said.
